Healthy Appetite

I individualize diet recommendations for each patient of mine based off their medical needs.  In the evolution of my career, I have developed a love for cooking whole foods in my kitchen.  I am disgusted at the foods on the supermarket shelves.  I tend to shop at Natural Grocers, New Frontiers and an occasional trip to Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s.  My favorite recipes come from a book called Nourishing Meals which we offer to our patients in the office for $24.95.  I’ve never like breakfast before and now my favorite food is the Apple Cinnamon Teff Pancakes and Chia Seed Pudding in the morning.  My meals are gluten free with lots of spice.  Raising a healthy family is my goal.  I love watching my little one scarf down her pancakes, while knowing they were nutritious.  My teenager is often resistant to eating healthy which makes it even more special when I trick him with homemade Sloppy Joe’s.  I recently purchased a VitaMix after much hesitation and it is now my favorite gadget of all times.  I’ve come a long way.  My husband tells every one that he mopped my stove on our second date, and he did.  Cooking healthy food does not have to be scary, intimidating or complicated.  Trust me if I went from flooding my stove to making my own nut milk so can you.  Salute- To a healthy appetite!
